Antalya International

Location: Antalya, Turkey

Project type:  Airport expansion

Expected Completion: January 2025

Investment: $433m

Antalya International Airport (AYT) is undergoing an expansion to double its passenger handling capacity to 80 million. A joint venture (JV) of airport operators Fraport and TAV Airports won the tender for the concession to operate the airport for 25 years and expand its capacity in December 2021. Construction on the first phase of the expansion commenced in January 2022 and is expected to be completed in January 2025. 

Ayodhya International

Location: Uttar Pradesh, India

Project type: New airport construction

Expected Completion: June 2023

Investment: $271.43m

Ayodhya international airport is a new airport being constructed at in Uttar Pradesh, India, by the Airports Authority of India. The project will redevelop the existing Ayodhya civil enclave site into an international airport. Phase one of the project has an estimated investment of INR2.24bn ($271.43m) and is expected to open in June 2023 and serve 600,000  passengers annually.

Chinchero International

Location: Cusco, Peru

Project type: New airport construction

Expected Completion: 2026

Investment: $427m

The new Chinchero international airport is being developed to replace the existing Alejandro Velasco Astete international airport. With an estimated investment of $427m, this will be the first airport in Peru to be built with eco-friendly infrastructure and will have a passenger capacity of five million a year. Construction of the airport began in 2018 and operations are expected to begin by 2026.
