DFS Aviation Services is part of the DFS Group around the German ANSP DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung, and is responsible for the commercial ATM activities across the globe. We are offering a wide range of products and services related to air navigation services. Moreover, we provide air traffic control at regional German airports, and are responsible for the provision of air traffic control at London Gatwick and Edinburgh airports through our UK subsidiary Air Navigation Solutions Ltd. With 18 locations in 6 countries (Germany, the UK, China, Singapore, Bahrain, Austria) we are delighted to serve customers such as ANSPs, airport operators, airlines, and aeronautical authorities from all over the world.

In Asia, DFS Aviation Services maintains a representative office in Beijing and a branch in Singapore. In the Middle East, DFS Aviation Services Bahrain Co WLL is responsible for providing operational and administrative staff as well as support services to the Bahrain’s Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications. Through our joint venture FREQUENTIS DFS AEROSENSE GmbH with the technology company Frequentis AG, we deliver highly developed solutions and full consulting for your successful remote digital tower project.

Aeronautical Data, Engineering & Systems

DFS Aviation Services offers ATM systems and tools from the DFS Group, flexibly tailored to your needs. Our solutions are suitable for small and medium-sized as well as large, complex aerodromes.

Our modular DFS ATS Suite features a set of integrated ATC automation components, which can be used in any air traffic control environment – in small and large towers, contingency centres, or as a fall-back system anywhere in the world. 

Product Engineering Services, such as system maintenance and product management, complement the lifecycle of our products, while high-performance ATS and CNS services add value for our ANSP customers.

Air Traffic Services & Apron

Every airport has its own unique challenges and needs. Together with our subsidiaries we build on an international experience in providing air traffic control at airports and aerodromes with a wide range of conditions around the globe. These aerodromes range from small AFIS aerodromes and regional airports in Germany to the highly frequented airports of London Gatwick and Edinburgh in the UK.

We also offer “Remote Tower as a Service” for remote ATS and AFIS services.

Consultancy

With the operational and worldwide experience of DFS Aviation Services and the wealth expertise of the whole DFS Group around DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung, our ATM experts can provide customers with the insights and know-how needed to enhance their performance and grow as an organisation. We do understand the industry-specific challenges and can contribute to our customers’ success by sharing our experience, drive, and knowledge of new industry developments. 

Our consultancy services range from safety assessments, audits, and feasibility studies through A-CDM, ORAT, and civil-military integration to Airspace Design, Simulation, and integration of UAS. Experience in state-of-the-art technologies, such as Remote Tower Control, complete our portfolio.

Training

Aviation Training Services at DAS Aviation Academy DAS A²

The DAS A² academy of DFS Aviation Services combines aviation and learning in a practical manner. Through our own work as a certified Air Navigation Service Provider and our training team with many years of international operational and training experience, we understand the challenges faced by the ATM community. In our training courses, we build the perfect bridge for you between theory and practice.

Our training portfolio includes operational training, ongoing vocational training, and refresher courses for endorsements and/or the maintenance of competence, as well as qualifications for management level. We also offer training courses and refresher courses for other air traffic services personnel, such as Aerodrome Flight Information Services and Flight Directors.

Our courses are EU (EU Regulation 2015/340) and ICAO compliant. As well as complying with international training standards, we can of course also meet your own individual training needs and requirements.
