DFS Aviation Services is part of the DFS Group and responsible for the commercial activities across the globe. We are offering a wide range of products and services related to air navigation services. We provide air traffic control at regional German airports, and are responsible for the provision of air traffic control at London Gatwick and Edinburgh airports through our UK subsidiary Air Navigation Solutions Ltd. We are delighted to serve customers such as ANSPs, airport operators, airlines and aeronautical authorities from all over the world. 

In Asia, DFS Aviation Services maintains a representative office in Beijing and a branch in Singapore. In the Middle East, DFS Aviation Services Bahrain Co WLL supports the company.

Our modular DFS ATM Suite features a set of integrated ATC Automation Components, which can be used in any air traffic control environment – in small and large towers, centres, or as a fall-back system anywhere in the world. Product Engineering Services, such as system maintenance and product management, complement the lifecycle of our products, while high-performance ATS and CNS Services add value for our ANSP customers.

Every airport has its own unique challenges and needs. DFS Aviation Services and its subsidiaries are responsible for providing air traffic control at a significant number of aerodromes, each with its own distinct conditions. These aerodromes range from small AFIS aerodromes and regional airports in Germany to the highly frequented airports of London Gatwick and Edinburgh in the UK.

With more than 25 years of experience in managing one of the busiest and most complex airspaces in Europe, we are the experts that our customers rely on to provide them with the insights and know-how needed to enhance their performance and grow as an organisation. As an ANSP, we understand the ANSP-specific challenges that our customers face and can contribute to their success by sharing our experience, drive and knowledge of new industry developments. 

Our consultancy services range from Safety Assessments, Audits, and Feasibility Studies through A-CDM, ORAT, and Civil-Military Integration to Airspace Design, Simulation, and Integration of UAS. Experience in state-of-the-art technologies, such as Remote Tower Control, complete our ANSP portfolio. In short, we are happy to address our customers’ challenges and to collaborate in order to increase global efficiency.

Training

Aviation Training Services

Our vast training portfolio covers the entire Air Navigation Services spectrum – we train ATCOs and ATSEPs ab-initio, offer support in the recruiting and selection process, and provide refresher, continuation, and English language training and assessment in cooperation with the DFS Academy. Furthermore, we provide Safety Management and Human Factors training. Our courses are (EU) 2015/340 compliant and we keep our approach modular, so that we can tailor every course to the specific needs of our customers.
