Catania airport is the first airport in Southern Italy and the very fifth one in Italy for his travelling passenger number. At the end of 2018 Catania Airport closed with 9.933.318 passengers with an increase of 8,91% over the previous year. Such increase is due both to the international passengers, with a growth rate in double digit - + 17.91% compared to 2017 - and domestic passengers, increased by 4.15%.
