With an investment of A$13m, Perth Airport is on track to upgrade and modernise its baggage screening systems across all airport terminals. The new system will see the introduction of CT-Xrays for all international and domestic checked baggage screening areas.
Using 3D technology these new machines will assist the airport in detecting suspicious and forbidden items in passengers’ luggage to improve safety and security. We'll find out more about the project in our next issue.
As well as our usual insight and analysis, we'll be bringing the latest industry developments from the conflict in Ukraine, as we look at how it will impact aviation. In the meantime, you can keep up to date with the latest news over at Airport Technology.
