Securitas divests airport security business to WO Group
Swedish security firm Securitas has completed the sale of its airport security business in France to WO Group for an undisclosed sum. The company cited limited long-term growth and financial viability as the reason for the sale of the business. Securitas initially signed an option agreement for the sale of the airport security business on 27 December 2024.
Lufthansa to buy Munich Airport ground services operator
German aviation group Lufthansa has announced its intention to handle part of the Lufthansa Group Airlines’ flights at Munich Airport through its own ground services later this year by potentially acquiring 100% of Swissport Losch. Lufthansa will acquire Swissport Losch from the current shareholders, Swissport Cargo Services Deutschland and Losch Airport Service Munchen.
WFS acquires Menzies World Cargo Amsterdam
Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) has expanded its presence at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands with the acquisition of Menzies World Cargo Amsterdam, which is part of Menzies Aviation’s General Cargo Handling Operations segment. The transaction, which was finalised on 31 January 2025, has expanded WFS’ warehouse capacity to more than 50,000m² at the Netherlands’ primary international airport.
flyExclusive to buy Jet.AI’s aviation business in all-stock deal
FlyExclusive, a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certificated air carrier, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the aviation business of Jet.AI. The business combination is structured as an all-stock transaction, with the purchase price dependent on Jet.AI’s net cash and an applicable premium percentage. To facilitate the closing of the transaction, Jet.AI has secured a $50m non-binding term sheet with Hexstone Capital.
