Welcome to the latest issue of Airport Industry Review magazine.

The rate of lost baggage has declined over recent years – thanks in no part to the new tech being implemented by airports. In this issue, we profile some of the new solutions in place that are helping improve baggage handling systems. We also look into a new proof of concept that has been trialled recently at Toronto Pearson Airport, in partnership with SITA, to help manage stand planning.

As well as this, we ask whether the aviation industry is ready to reach net zero by 2050, following a report from the ICCT calling for aircraft manufacturers to move to only producing net-zero emission planes by 2035.

Elsewhere, we look at the new lineup in the UK Department for Transport following the recent general election, consider the ramifications of Boeing's recent guilty plea to fatal 737 MAX crashes, and speak to the Abu Dhabi Airports about the future of Zayed International Airport.

For this, and much more, read on. And don’t forget to follow us on Twitter @Airport_Mag as well.
